Zambia, children, clean water first time

Watching These Zambian Children Getting Clean Water For The First Time Will Change Your Life

This article was last updated on July 30, 2014

It’s hard to imagine it if you’ve grown up in the industrialised world, but in many places like Zambia, 50 percent of the rural population don’t have access to clean water.

Every day, more than 1,600 Zambian children under the age of five die from illnesses caused by unsafe drinking water.

This is why World Vision’s Zambia Project has taken up a really fantastic endeavor: to bring clean water to rural Zambia and save children’s lives.

Check out the video by Janssen Powers below on this ambitious project , which follows the lives of these kids as fresh water is brought into their lives for the very first time.

In this video, you’ll be introduced to several children, learn about their dreams, and be inspired by their spirit. Join us as we follow these children and others over the course of the next year. You’ll see children take their first sip of clean water, go to school for the first time, and finally grow healthy.

These kids are begging to be able to make something out of their lives, meanwhile hundreds if not thousands of kids in the West are wasting their lives away, not caring about their education or their dreams and goals and living unhealthy lifestyles even if they have access to healthcare. It’s absolutely unfair, and quite revolting. I hope one day these kids will have the same opportunities children in developed countries have, I really do.
